Writing

Erin is an award winning writer whose work has been featured in publications from SciShow to Engineering.com to The Economist.

Erin is currently working as a science communications specialist for the International Space Station. She assigns, writes, and edits stories for publication on NASA.gov covering science performed on the space station. She previously worked as the space reporter for the MIT Technology Review and the publication's associate editor of the future of work. Erin also developed and wrote The Airlock, a weekly email on emerging space technologies, the Download newsletter, and Clocking In, the future of work newsletter, for MIT Technology Review. She previously interned as the Richard Casement Intern for The Economist, writing weekly articles on science and technology and appearing on the weekly Economist science podcast, Babbage, to discuss new innovations in the scientific fields. She has also worked as a writer for SciShow, Beanz, IEEE Potentials Corresponding Editor, a paid contributor to Medium, contributor to Engineering.com, and a freelance writer focusing on science, engineering, diversity in STEM, geek fashion, and entrepreneurship. She previously wrote for The Economist during her Richard Casement internship at the science and technology section of the publication.
